It is my intention to take 20-30 minutes, everyday, to stop and observe something closely. There’s no better way to do that than to create a sketch. I encourage you to try it.
The (rather arbitrary) distinction I make between “sketching” and “illustration” is that sketching is done from a live model or still life, whereas illustration is done from memory, imagination, or a 2D image.
Click on the sketching image, below, to go to the Sketch Gallery, and click on the illustration image to get to the Illustration Gallery.
Have a look around and watch your confidence grow! 😉
Images appeal directly to my emotions. I can spend hours looking at beautiful images – of what, it matters not. However, I find food-porn most captivating. It’s candy for my eyes to leisurely contemplate the line, texture, color, and shape of a beautifully composed dollop of whipped cream.
I also love to eat good food, and to cook. Some folks enjoy posing for the camera. I prefer being behind the camera, creating images of epicurean delights.
I hope you find an image or two here to enjoy, as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them.
Thanks, so much, for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
